Captain America-inspired dress cosplay by me.
My friend, evil-brainmate, and I attended Denver’s Comic Con this past June and about a week before, we decided to try and make these dresses based off of the sketches found here: http://robinade.tumblr.com/post/21341727069/full-post-of-all-the-avengers-dresses-eta
We modified them a bit but still the general idea. The hardest part was getting Tony’s reactor done. Yes, it glows. I spent some good time on getting it right and I am glad she, as well as other con-goers, enjoyed that little detail. The top photo is from the convention. The bottom three are from a photoshoot we did on the 4th of July.
Outfit of the Day: Black, White and Red All Over
I think neutrals with pops of colors has always been one of my favorite looks. There are endless variations, and it always adds a bit of interest into any outfit. Red is one of my favorite colors to pop into an outfit. I actually wore this dress last Autumn completely reworked with just neutrals. For summer, I thought I would do something a little more fun. I wore this outfit to go find (and buy) my wedding dress! It was the perfect outfit for the occasion. I ended up finding my dress, and tearing up- the whole shebang! I’m so sentimental about my clothing. It really is a marker of sorts for where I am in my life. I think every time I look at this dress in my closet I’ll remember wearing it on such a special day.

My outfit from Sunday which was honestly a little too boring for my cute outfit. But I got lots of compliments on it. And I did get to see some old friends, which was very nice.
My hairstyle’s from the April issue of Seventeen magazine. Only once in a blue moon could I mimic a hairstyle from a magazine accurately and NOT frustratingly… but I think it turned out perfectly. Inbox me for instructions because it wasn’t simple, even if it was kind of easy.
I’m in love with this dress. It’s so comfy. XD
